Default Kuala Lumpur --> Siem Reap

Hey guys,

I am planning a trip from Kuala Lumpur to Cambodia,
three or four days in early May.

Can anyone advise me some highlights of the country?
Things that I should really visit, beside the Angkor Wat temple.
And the best way to travel between the different places?

Thanks,
Lara

Hi, The Angkor Archaeological Park is extensive and many wonderful temples to visit. Allow 3 days if you can in Siem Reap - at least 2 for the small tour of close temples including Angkor Wat and 1 for grand tour of remote temples like Banteay Srei (womens citadel), Kbal spean (carved river bed and jungle walk) or a few hours spent on Kulen mountain (large Buddha carved from rock, temple, monks, carved river bed and swim in waterfall. Visit the floating villages in Tonle Sap at sunset and a local village. Renewing Cultural life is evident in SR, night life is good, night markets are pretty relaxed. Phnom Penh is interesting and you don't need a guide, but personally I'd spend all my time in and around Siem Reap. It has an international airport so you can fly in and out on a tight schedule.

Hi Lara,

We just returned from Cambodia five days ago, my wife and I did start the trip by a flight to Siem Riep and visit Angkor Wat 3 Days days then go to the Phnom Penh city 2 Days. Cambodia is BEAUTIFUL country, Siem Reap and Angkor Wat very nice, We were also very happy with our arrangement of stay in 3 and 4 star accommodation. All of the hotels were really not disappointing, so nice and very near the center. and the tour visit Angkor Wat temple, day trip sapan cruise on tonle sap is great. It was really a memorable time for us.

Have a nice vacation
