Default Sapa in March; When are the rice terraces green in Sapa?

I hope to visit Sapa next year, and am wondering when the rice terraces are green? I was there in late November, and although the place was beautiful, the rice was already cut and dry. I am hoping to go back to see it lush green. Is March a good time for this?
Thank you!
Mark

For cheap accommodation in Sapa you can choose a home stay instead of a hotel.

Hi,
If you would like to take beautiful photo of terrace field, you should come to Sapa at the following time:
- September to October: Golden terrace field with ripening rice.
- May : rice is growing time, a fresh green field.
wish you a nice trip!

Boutique Sapa Hotel is a good choice.

September will be the best time to visit , but the best place in Vietnam to see rice paddies is not Sapa . It's on the road from Mu Cang Chai to Than Uyen (which is more than 100km from Sapa). Good luck !

in late April and early May, the Sapa fields are green. And you can take many beautiful photos if you visit Sin Chai village and Muong Hoa valley at this time. In March it's not the best time to see green rice fields. The best time to see the rice terrace is about October. You can see the yellow fields between the green. Amazing.
