Unhappy WARNING: The Real Sinh Cafe

In an effort to ensure value for money we sought out The Real Sinh Cafe while we were looking to book a two night Halong Bay cruise two weeks ago. The owner of The Real Sinh - NOT The Sinh Cafe - failed to pick us up from Hanoi train station on time so we missed our cruise. When we demanded a refund there was a confrontation where he threatened us, swore at us, told us what he really thought of foreigners and then finally he hit me - actually hit me in the face in front of my son. He was charged by police and forced to refund the money but people need to know this man is both dodgy and dangerous and should be avoided. We also heard about a group of five English tourists who had booked a tour through this guy to Halong Bay. When their ship broke down they were transferred to another ship where they were threatened with broken bottles and having their passports thrown overboard if they did not pay a substantial additional fee. So there is no confusion, I am talking about The Real Sihn Cafe at 10 Hang Can Street, Hanoi. Do yourselves a favour and look elsewhere.

Sorry to hear what you just shared but you should know that Sinh Cafe is just kind of sharing profit service , they let lots of small business join the run. Almost every hotel in Hanoi is doing it right now for their extra service. The price can be different depend on the location and the hotel which you choose. Further more, there are 100 of offices do the same thing and it is very hard to find the real Sing Cafe. In my opion, you guy could buy the ticket right direct from the hotel, so it could be much easier to solve any problem.Even anything happen, you still can come back to the first place and find someone who respond to.

Guess what guys. We have heard so many horror stories about Hanoi that we are not even going to go there.
