You can get your visa online with credit card and jump the queues at the airport (can take some time). $25. It is $20 if you stand in line. Take two pictures and US DOLLARS CASH.
In Cambodia, Baht, Riel and dollars can be used but hotels rather accept USD.

Just came back from Cambodia a couple of weeks ago & also went there from Thailand. just pay in US dollars when you arrive, it doesnt take long, take 2 photos & fill the paperwork in on the plane that they give you.

Take dollars and Baht for everything. Cambodian riels for local meals and basic stuff. Take smaller bills as well. Baht, dollars are interchangeable just about everywhere. USD for Visa. If you spending cash on a 'plane ticket, then get a visa online for $25 - $5 more expensive but you can save up to an hour in line on a busy day. All it takes is a plane load of people with no visas and the lines can be long.
