Default Vietnam in June

Hi!

I'm thinking of going to Vietnam in June. But I'm a little worried about the weather as it seems like it's the rainy season. Could you all tell me how bad it is, as in will it prevent me from enjoying my tours to places like:
1. Ho Chi Minh City
2. Sapa
3. Hoi An
4. Hanoi
and other places. Or is it still OK ?

Thanks!

Do it! Best time of year imho. Rains for short time most days, big deal, it's refreshing. Less dust, less heat, less tourists and more bargaining power.
I've lived here for years and hang out for May to arrive.
Good luck.

Don't worry! The main rainy season in Vietnam is in July and August! In June, it is sunny most of the time. If it rains, it rain heavily and stops quickly (usually about 1 hour).
Have a good trip to Vietnam!

Hi Angle,

June is ok in Vietnam, not much rain but quite hot. So remember to bring enough sunscreen to enjoy beatiful beaches and sea in Vietnam:)
I think you should add Ha Long Bay in your place list 'cause it is amazing, beautiful bay with fabulous caves. You can take 1 day tour or 2 day, 3 day tour overnight on boat. I had 2 day tour on a boat named Calypso, it was so fantastic. I much enjoyed kayaking in the bay, swimming (I even tried jumping from the boat^^)visiting the cave and excellent services on this boat also. You should try it.

I think if you can swing it, go in October. That’s one of the best all-around months to visit Vietnam. In September it’s going to be cold and wet pretty much everywhere north of Nha Trang.

Do not worry about rain, weather in Summer hot but sunny. If you come from EU, had better travel around Spring (March-April) or Auturm, weather not so hot.

The wet season is a lovely time of the year in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. I sure beats the dust of the dry season.

If you are into photography it's the best time of the year, with beautiful soft lighting.
