Bali Palm Vietnam August- advice please!

Hello all,

Am travelling to Ho Chi Minh City on the 26th of July this year, and potentially travelling to Bangkok through Cambodia over the course of 2 and a half weeks. Realise this is a very short period of time, and not sure whether it is possible/would make for a pleasant trip, so advice would be very helpful on this.
Also slightly worried about the weather, there seem to be mixed reviews on this front and I can't work out what is what! Does anyone know whether it is unbearable to be in these parts of the world during end of July/start of August? Being rained on for the entire time we're there would probably not be ideal! Also wanted to make it to a beach resort, possibly Sihanoukville as I've heard it's lovely, or somewhere in Thailand or close to HCMC, basically am not fussy as long as it's pretty and it won't just solidly rain...
If anyone has any hostel/hotel/beach shack/restaurant suggestions then all eagerly accepted!

Cheers

If you don't mind heat, humidity and the potential for torrential (great rhyme btw) rains, then you should be all set. Don't be too worried about the rains, but the heat and humidity can be noticeable.

No real advice on specific lodging, just do your research and you'll be fine. Good reviews go a long way as do the bad ones :)

Plan for the worst, but hope for the best!

Lightbulb Vietnam August - Advice

Hi there,
In fact, In Ho Chi Minh city, from April to October is moonsoon season, but don’t worry a lot because it won’t rain all day, offen 2- 3 hours, after that the sun appears again.
In Sihanoukville, in the peak of wet season from July to September it can rain as much as two out of every three days. So you will get wet travelling in a Cambodian wet season.
How do you think about Phu Quoc, I suggest you go there. Because:
+ It’s best time to visit with your travel time (26th July to 15th August ) with average temperature is 27oC when the sky is always sunny, clear and blue.
+ It’s natural environment, with plenty of strips of sand worth exploring, fine beaches and clear blue sea ,all is ideal for picnics, padding, snorkeling or fishing…
