Thumbs up Laos or Vietnam for 20 years marriage?

In March I am planning to have a 2 week vacation in Asia. I go to Thailand every year. Been to Malaysia, Hong Kong, Cambodia and Bali.

This year we want a week in Thailand and for a change a week in Laos or Vietnam. There is still a possibility to skip Thailand, but I don't think so....

Now we want a romantic week, and also discover some new horizons! Now I have to admit that we are NOT the kind of people to trek, or sit hours on a bus! We like small romantic places, not huge hotels, but a bit of comfort is welcome!

In Laos I hear you could go from Vietane to Luang Prabang, maybe that would be an idea.... Every suggestion welcome........

Default Celebrate 20 years marriage

If you have 02 weeks, I think you can travel both Vietnam & Laos.
Vietnam: Ha Noi - Ha Long - Ho Chi Minh - then flight from Sai gon to Laos.

@tintin Sounds exciting! Haven't seen a response yet, so it begs the question - are you still going for your anniversary?

I'd be interested to know more details as your trip date approaches.

We are going to Mui ne beach area vietnam for our 25 th wedding anniversary in march,we have been before and can recommend Shades as a real luxury stay there,or sails also a luxury stay, you can visit and lunch at both. You get a private car to drive you from ho chi min city,it is a 5 hour trip but the driver will stop along the way when you ask him to and there are lots of interesting villages to pass through with exquisite workmanship in wood carvings. We had our driver stop a few times to have a look at things.Happy anniversary to you and your wife for 20 years marriage.
