Glad you liked my JBR Fio. I'll post Part 2 soon - maybe tonight if I can cook dinner quickly.
Our trip to Vietnam was only short as I only had ten days for Easter and decided just to focus on two places rather than travel about all over the place and get back to work feeling worn out from the holiday ):
A friend of ours spent three weeks there - beginning in Ho Chi Minh and then travelling north to Hue, Hoi An and Hanoi.
We'd like to go back again and see these places as well as Halong Bay - it looked really nice on the tv documentary I saw. Some people I know have been there and done the boat trip on the bay and say it was fantastic. I've got this stashed in the back of my mind for a future trip - some time when we have at least two weeks.

On the subject of dentists............ I have all my dental work done in Bangkok, at a very good dentist in Silom. I've been going to her for about 5 years now. She's very good, has excellent English and on the occasions when she hasn't given me an injection (YIKES!!!) I haven't felt a thing. I've sent several friends to her and all of them have been very happy with her work and the cost.... e.g. filling 500baht!! veneers around 5000 baht - a fraction of prices quoted back home.
If you want contact details, I can post here.

Andy,
Here is the blog that I mentioned in my earlier post. There's a heap of information about several places in SEA on these pages. http://www.cathyandgarystravelpages.com

Thanks for the information about Buddhist attractiongs. And, thanks especially for Fio's comments about "delays". I think I have decided to get my dental stuff closer to home.

I am trying to book my flights (Star Alliance points) now. I may be leaving in weeks!
