Red Onion in Karon beach. at the circle, go away from the beach toward a wat. just past the 7-11 on the left. also a small ma/pa shop just before red onion, nice, and ma/pa prices. Kata Mama on south side of kata beach, decent food, price and view, access to/from beach or small drive on right which has small sign.

I agreed on red onion.. But many fans have turn their back on it! Food is less then before, it is not a cozy place, and most of the personel, is just not friendly!

Hi what are you guys calling expensive,im new here and never been to Thai?
Is the food on the streets good?

I have lots of favourites one is Kru Suwit floating restaurant, you go by free longtail boat and the food is delicious and cheap.

Then there is Jakkajan restaurant on Mai Khai beach, good cheap food and they are always open.

Another is Natural restaurant in Phuket town, fantastic decor, furniture is old chunky wood, lots of greenery, ponds, fish tanks etc.
