Hi all,
I am looking to return to Samui again this year but this time would like to hop over to Koh Phangan for a night or 2 (not for the full moon party - unless the dates collide) but just to see the place.

I was wondering the best ways to get from Samui over there... I spoke to a few people on my last visit and they had gone through tour companies in Samui for the ferry and accomodation and seem to have paid well over the odd's

I am probably looking to get to Samui - have a nights rest and then over to Phangan - I would love to venture to the top North West corner to the secluded bays but I think that I may be restricted by time and therefore will probably stay around the south west coast (HadRin up to ThongSala). We will only require a cheap and cheerful hut with shower for the stop over. (No more than 650THB per night)

If anyone can offer any advise on transport costs and times or recommendations on what to see or do or places to stay - it would be great.
