You can choose whether to get a Cambodian visa online or on arrival.
We've just come back from Cambodia and opted for the 'on arrival' method.
If you opt to get it on arrival, it costs US $25. When you get to immigration, you queue up on the left (even though you're not actually told to do this and some people appear to wait in a big bunch on the right which is where you actually collect your visa once you've handed in your passport, photo and money.
The time taken will depend on how many people need visas (we spent about 20 minutes there) but once you've handed in your stuff, it goes from one official to another along a line of about 6 people - one looks, one sticks the visa in, one checks, one stamps and one calls out your name. Get your passport and wait in the line at immigration.
But I'd agree that getting visa online will save you time on arrival.
Re. tailors in Bangkok, I've had suits made a few years ago at a tiny shop on the ground floor of MBK- left hand side of main aisle while walking towards Pathumwan Princess hotel. They make mainly in silk and wool which you choose from a book (no room in the shop for rolls).
Another place that has been recommended by others is Bithano Tailors (Thai owned family business) It's on Sukhumvit Rd - just along from Asoke station - on the other side to Emporium. They make for men and women.
