 For the more adventurous and those not afraid on a bike in Phuket!
I always stay in Kata. it has the advantage, to have a nice beach, and not to be in the crowd of Patong.
Now for those, who do not mind a motorbike(it IS easy to go to the more remoted parts in Kata), I have a nice little trip!
You take the interior road to Rawai. Not only can you hire a longtail boat from 800 BHT on (look for the owner, with a black board), but it is nice to have a lunch by the sea! There are different places. Almost in the middle there is a mama, BBQ ing fresh shrimps, nice!
After lunch, you go by the sea and follow the road, to the viewpoint. But before the viewpoint is a little road to the right, that you follow to the end. There is a small, rocky beach, but very nice, with very friendly people, nice to snorkel.
After that you go back North, on the hill side to your right facing the sea. You can also make a stop at New Harn, or go further to Kata, where you can also stop at two elephant-camps!
