You dont need an international drivers licnese anywhere in Asia.
A driver NO>>> they will hassle you the whole time to go to the shops where they get a kick back and the palces you want to visit will mysteriously be closed.
Driving is easy. Just keep an eye out for the motocylces on ur right/ur left/in front and behind u
