Wow, it is Loy Kratong today. I used to love this day in Phuket; we would go onto the beach with the locals with our little boats of flowers and candles, send them out to sea to watch them bob around in the distance, as the hotel up the road let those floating candle lantern things (they put candles inside little paper balloons and these then float high into the sky).
