Red face First time to Bangkok

Ok, I know this is one in a million, but I just come across this forum. So I thought I give this a shot.

Anybody happen to be in Bangkok next weekend around the suhumit areas and want to get together? Just thought it'll be nice to be able to hang with another English spoken tourist(s) than just wondering around by myself.

Hi there and welcome to the forum.
Although you're imagining you'll be lonely in Sukhumvit you'll have no worries about that.
Just go to any bar and you'll find people like yourself - in fact, you might forget you're in Bangkok. You'll find people from everywhere and they'll be sitting around drinking, playing pool, watching the English soccer on tv, listening to music or mingling with the bar girls.l

Outside, there'll be more tourists on the streets, at the market stalls, in department stores - everywhere.

One place you can head for is the pub called Gullivers in Sukhumvit Soi 5 , not far down the street from the main road Sukhumvit Rd. There are several spacious rooms inside with all the things I mentioned above as well as bar snacks and decent food at the restaurant - you can eat inside or out on the streetside terrace - great for people-watching.
Plenty of other pubs and bars in Sukhumvit - others may have some good suggestions.

Or if bars are not your thing, here's another thought...... you could book a tour to somewhere and you'll meet people on that. Maybe a half day tour of the city? or a day tour to somewhere else?
