Talking Where to stay in Krabi areas - Ao Nang

We are meeting our friends on Feb. 16 as they are flying into Krabi. Any recommendations for places to stay? There are 7 girls and we need 3 bungalows......nothing expensive please - we are budget/moderate travellers.

Thanks very much.

Maggie and friends

Wink Hi Maggie

I presume you mean "Krabi Beach", which is actually Ao Nang (shortened version) as Krabi is some distance away in reality. Check around and see if you can get a deal somewhere (maybe even book it as a package with your flights if you have not bought them yet) with the Krabi Resort Hotel; they do sometimes have deals and they have bungalows next to the beach and right in town. It is a tour group hotel, but for once I think that is a good thing as you can get package deals on what must be the best located hotel in Ao Nang. Otherwise Wanna's Place is superb value and very high quality for the $; just the other side of the central beachfront road (the beachfront road runs right above the beach so there are no hotels beachside).

Plug: If you book into Wanna's Place using our sister site Travel Ethos, the fee earned goes to the Mercy Centre in Bangkok (a children's charity).

Hi Maggie,
I am in AO Nang right now and we are staying at the Somkiet Buri and just love it. It is a smaller hotel with a real jungle setting and it is less than 10 minutes walk to the beach. It is very good value.

hi
We stayed in noppparta that is just at the other side of the main Aonang beach side. You can get boats to all the places that you want to go to and it is a lot quieter.
There were some bungalows down there.
