 where is that fantastic story writer??? hi all, i feel like an idiot posting this but have come on today after a break for quite a while after thinking about a girl who was a fantastic storywriter and told of her adventures on her trip to koh samui etc etc. sadly i read that her father passed away after a long illness earlier this year. does anyone know how she is going and what her name was-real and forum name.      |

 That be Ali Last I heard from her was a card she sent to our home here in Portugal (she contacted several people on the forum for their home addresses) thanking me for my support, which I could not believe, she was so much like we all should be.

| I have not heard from Ali since I got a card from her. I do send emails to her and hope that she is ok. She is such a caring person. ali - where are you?

| Ali is pretty special. When my son left home / Melbourne to look for work in Western Australia, Ali volunteered to show him around Perth, introduce him to her group of friends and even give him some work contacts! Just hope I get the opportunity to do something nice for her one day. Good to see you're on the mend too jax; trust Dave behaved himself while you were gone? Cheers, Phil

 Wow! Hey all Wow - what compliments!! I forwarded this link onto my girls when I read it as I was almost in tears (sad, but true!). I can't believe you all think so much of me - and my writing! I have been extremely busy with the new job and with trying to get Dad's affairs in order - hence my disappearance from the forum and my inability to reply to emails! Life has just taken a crazy turn and I'm just going along with it for now. As for how I am doing? Well, I'm okay I guess. I don't think about Dad as being gone forever - that's too much to handle so I block it out a lot which probably isn't healthy but it's my way of coping. The only way I can describe it is to say that I feel like I'm living some sort of alternate reality. It's like I'm living in a dream like state - just going through the motions and not really taking anything in. It's all very surreal and bizzare. I stopped closing myself off to everybody about a two months ago now - more or less when I started the new job - and since then things haven't been better - just a different sort of normal (if that makes sense). My friends have been fantastic. My family has been...well...difficult to say the least but that's a whole other story and one that's probably not appropriate for the forum. And as for the final JBR which has been on hold for many months - I'm pleased to say that I have gotten back into it as a distraction and it's almost finished - for those of you who can even remember what happened seeing as it was almost a year ago that I posted the last one! Again, I want to say thank you for all your support and thoughts and encouragement. I can't thank you enough. Much love Ali x

| Hello love glad to hear from you. yes we can remember the reports and we are all waiting for the last installment. Glad the new job is going well. As for feeling as you do give it 12 months and then a bit. Life moves on, as you have found out. you owe it to your Dad to get as much out of it as you can. Take care Jackie x
