Default Flying into Bangkok and on to Ko Samui

We will be arriving on Feb. 4 at 11:00 a.m. How long will it take us to get our luggage, clear customs and get to the other airport to catch our plane to Ko Samui? We would like to book our air fare shortly and need to know approx. how long - there is a flight to Ko Samui leaving at 1:00 p.m. OR

Do we not switch airports???? Help please.

Maggie

Bali Palm flights to samui.

hi maggie i hope this helps you if you have to clear customs collect your luggage and travel to don muang airport i would give it at least 4 hours just to be on the safe side. but please note if you are travelling to samui with bangkok airways they are still flying from savarnabuhm airport not don muang. (excuse the spelling) bangkok airways are one of the few domestic flights still operating out of the new airport.

You will have no need to change airports, Bangkok Air fly to Samui from Suvarnabhumi.

I always like to allow 2 hours minimum for transfers if my bags are going straight through to Samui. If your bags are not going straight through I would allow 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
