Question 3 weeks in South East Asia

I am going traveling with 3 others in August. We have been looking into Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia and Thailand.... However, we only have 3 weeks and don't want to be in airports/traveling the entire time...

We are going for 3 weeks. (Not long enough, but it will have to do!!!!) We are going to Singapore first, as some family is there. ANY ADVICE? I would love to hear from someone who has been to all of these places. Routes? Airports? Best spots? I'm thinking 2 countries is prob lots. HELP! THANKS!

Singapore will be the most expensive place on your trip for hotels. I don't think you have too many airports to choose from for Singapore. Check out Dragon boats, Malacca and maybe visit the Raffles Hotel to see what big money can buy.

Are you still planning on visiting all 5 countries? If you are coming from a great distance like N. America or Europe round trip plane tickets might be the same price as a one-way when using major airlines. But it depends on the airline. Do the math. Flights between these 5 countries are not that expensive. It might be cheaper to buy a cheap flight back to the first city you arrive at.

Check out if you need to get visas. Most likely you will need visas for Vietnam and Cambodia.

Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia will depend on what country passport you are using if you need to pay for a visa. Most of Europe, US, UK, Oz, NZ and Canada you can enter free.

Notify your bank that you will be traveling and where if you intend to use credit cards or debit cards.

If you drop 2 countries you might enjoy your trip more. Many tourists feel that 2 weeks alone is not enough for one country!
