Please define "cheap", in terms of price point.

I have seen this question before on other travel forums.

What do you want to spend on a hotel room?

Taking the lady back to your country would really impress her!

If you think 3000 baht is a cheap hotel this lady has grabbed the golden ring! A cheap hotel at 600 baht will have hot water, A/C, TV and private toilet. Something at 1500 baht is not too bad and you don't give the impression that you are wealthy and she will be able to get lots of money from you to support the family farm, pay for family doctor bills and vet service for the family water buffalo, etc. (Forever!)

Maybe the Landmark Hotel on Sukhumvit Road will be discounted. Located near the Nana Skytrain.

(Unless you are just a common troll!)

Urban Dictionary: grab for the gold ring

Default some please warn this guy

Hi

Best of luck for you and your girlfriend. However I feel obliged to warn you:

in countries like UK or US finding date on a dating site is risky for obvious reasons. And in Thailand? Biggest number of transvestites in the world. Watch your back buddy and I wish you that you get to meet a lady

I stayed at Anantara Sathorn. It's 4/5 star, quite businessy but new and nice pool and gym, great breakfast. Out of the way a bit (you have to go Skytrain then take the bus transit system one stop, or alternatively walk 10minutes) but I paid $50/night including the wonderful brekkie.

It's a cheap decent stay. Otherwise President Solitaire on Soi 11 is nice... also Fraser Suites Langsuan is in an impressive area. Big apartments, clean, never made it to the pool but I expect it to be good.

Be very careful with meeting Thai ladies on dating websites. Things are not always what they seem. Don't be one of the many guys that get taken for a ride.
