I just wondered if anyone can give me approx rate (US$ or THB)for getting from Phuket airport to either Patong or Kata area?? Car service or taxi I guess are the 2 choices

(if you trust my memory) it to be 500 baht - you only have two choices expensive limo or airport taxi at set fare, but there are metered taxis often outside so it is worth looking first as they will be much cheaper

Taxi 'limousine' service: 650 Baht, they have a booth inside the arrivals hall at the airport.

Meter taxi will be around 500 Baht, they are located outside the arrivals hall on the right hand side.

taxi to Patong is 450 baht now same as Kamala

Metered taxi's are about the same
