Default Ibis Bangkok Nana Hotel - Great Deal!

I've just stumbled upon a great deal which I hope helps someone. I am arriving into Bangkok on 23rd January - Chinese Lunar New Year - and have been going through hotels.com looking for 3/4 star hotels with a decent cheap/nice ratio. I'd normally avoid the Ibis, firstly because it's on Soi 4 which can be packed not to mention a real hassle at night, and secondly because, well, it's an Ibis! Perfectly decent and very clean and new but lacking character.

However, plugging in 3 nights from 23 January 2012 (Chinese New Year) until checkout on 26 January 2012 on hotels.com brought up a special "Lunar New Year 3 Night Deal": £20 (US$31/AU$30) per night (breakfast not included), which I thought was too good to pass by!

It gets better... I tried the 10% hotels.com discount code I recently posted about but sadly it's not applicable to the Ibis. However, you can use a UK (and US) cashback site called TopCashback to get 10% off a hotels.com booking, so it brings the nightly cost down to only £18 per night.

Finally, factoring in the hotels.com " Rewards" program, which gives you a free night's stay every 10 nights you book with them (based on the average value of your bookings), you are effectively getting another 10% off the rate... bringing down the cost of a night in the Bangkok Ibis Nana, a trusty 3 star chain hotel slap bang on Sukhumwit, to only £16/$25 per night!

Bargain

If you book with hotels.com I'd appreciate it if you use the following links, as the forum will get a tiny bit of cash for referring you:

hotels.com UK

hotels.com Australia

hotels.com USA

Thanks
Steve
