Need everyones opinion here! Will be going to Bangkok, Pattaya, Chiang Mai and Phuket. Any suggestions on which is the best zoo to visit and why.
All suggestions appreciated.
There are 2 Zoos located in Bangkok, Khao-Din and Safari World. Khao-Din is treaditional zoo. Animail was caged. You can walk around the zoo and see animals in cage.
The Dusit Zoo in Bangkok is old, but nice. You can spend an afternoon walking around. The food court is good too.
The zoo in Chaing Mai is not really a walking around zoo. It's big draw are the Pandas. You basically take a tuk tuk to see them, then leave. They are cute.
We have never bothered going to Phuket Zoo due to the bad reports we have read about it. Of course their website is nice but its very rare to hear anyone say anything nice about the place. Phuket Zoo
nobody suggested the unique zoos in the north along the myanmar border where they have mammals of different tribes, some made to wear gold rings and elongate their necks. hey, how can you pass up an photo opportunity like that. althought they do let them roam free at times, but never really free, too much money to be made.
They have Pandas in chang mai?
Why did I not know about this.....................LOL
I must go. There, as well as shopping this morning.
This could be my amunition to get Dave back there.

What do you mean you didn't know they had pandas in CM zoo? Good grief don't they have TV news in the UK?
