Default Bit worried after booking flights!

My husband has just paid the balance for our flights today. We have booked them through Travelbag via the telephone, we are flying with singapore air.

The travel agent told him we will recieve no tickets and that we just take the confirmation email to the check in and thats our E Ticket.

Now why im worried is that in the past i have used e tickets and they actually arrive a few weeks before we depart and they have actually got E Ticket written on them.

Is this right that all we need to take is a confirmation and thats all??

thanks if you can help.

well an E-ticket is really just that ,electronic,so you just print off a copy of it to show at the airport,if they even ask for it as half the time i have just shown my passport for proof.
I currently have 6 e-tickets printed out ready for use.

Hi Laura

The e-ticket should have a PRN# or a ref # on it. So you could ring Singapore Air and quote this number to them to double check your booking. Then you will have all that extra thinking time to decide on hotels, shopping, activities etc.

Many E tickets don't say "E ticket" on them. What they do have is a booking reference number and a flight itinerary. Do you have that?

All you actually need at the airport is that booking number and a passport. You don't even really need to print it out. I sometimes just scribble it down on a bit of paper if I don't have access to a printer.

Hi Laura, I am the same as you. I booked through Last Minute and every now again i get a bit of a wooble on about the e-tickets but everything seems ok.
That was a good suggestion of FTSE, might just do that myself.

We never had tickets when we went to Thailand, just a piece of A4 with all the flight numbers, times ect on.As previously mentioned there is a booking number too.Wasn't a problem at either BK or Phuket airports.
Must admit first time I had an E-ticket I felt a bit insecure but iy's the way things are done now.
Cheers laurs

Thanks everyone for your replies and words of comfort!

I have a flight itinery with a reference number that is the same for all 4 of us. Im a bit worried that this reference number is just a reference number to the booking company we got the flights from and not a valid reference for singapore airlines.

Does this make sense?

thanks again for all your help, appreciate it.
