Default Brands allowed to Import to Australia

Hi,

I am looking to import some clothing and other bits from Thailand to Australia.
How do I find out what brands are legal to import and sell in Australia?
Is there a website or phone number?

Any info would be greatly appreciated
Thankyou
Monica Taylor

A simple Google check ought to give you some websites to look over.

Try DFAT (Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade), or failing that, Australian Customs. Just make sure that the brands you intend to import are the genuine article and not "knock-offs". If they are the latter, you risk losing the whole lot upon Customs inspection, plus a substantial fine.
