Question Thailand for Filipino Passport Holder?

I am a Philippine passport holder and wants to know this little things to clear about the strictness of the Immigration policy to go back toThailand.

I was been staying for a 4 years in Thailand but working and had working permits and paid all my taxes since Sep. 2007 and Ileft Thailand last August 26 bearig a Non Immigrant B visa.

My Non Immigrant B visa expireds last Sep. 11, 2011 because I traveled to UK using a C-Multiple Entry visa that will end untilMarch 2, 2012.

I am going back to Manila on Nov. 5, 2011 because that is the origine of my ticket and wish to go back to Bangkok on Nov. 7 to travel but I will be using a Tourist visa for the first time.

What are the requirements to be done before entering the NAIA so that I can prepare myself before I can be questioned by the Immigration Officer to enter the departure area?

Do I still need to report to the POEA because I was been working in Thailand, and do I need a show money of how much?

I have many important stuffs to clear up there in Thailand and my bank books to settle down.

If the Immigration will not allow me to go on my flight? what should be the possible remedy on this and why? do I have any problem on my trip back to Thailand because I have been there working for 4 years and now I am tourist?

Thank you for your query. The first stop for any immigration queries you may have is always the TIMATIC system which lists the relevant visa /immigration requirements for the use of airline check-in employees at check-in. This system is publicly available through the Delta airlines website, here:

Visa & Passport Information

If you enter Filipino nationality going to Thailand, you get the following requirements:

***********************

Passport required.
- Nationals of Philippines can enter with passports and/or
passport replacing documents valid for the period of
intended stay.

Visa required, except for A touristic stay of max. 30 days

Visitors over 12 years of age are required to hold
sufficient funds to cover their stay (at least THB 10,000.-
per person or THB 20,000.- per family).
For details, click here
- For those who do not require a visaFor details, click here

Warning:
- Visitors who are visa exempt but do not hold return/onward
tickets could be refused entry.

*************************

So if you are definitely visiting Thailand as a tourist, all you should need is your Phillippines passport, a valid return ticket to the Philippines within 30 days and proof of funds (THB 10,000 per person).

Because you worked in Thailand before, and possibly also because of your nationality, you might get more attention than the usual tourist to Thailand. If you are just a tourist, have packed like a tourist and intend on doing tourist things then you should have no worry at all.

Note this is just a guideline to set you off in the right direction; if you are unsure at all of immigration requirements you should double-check with your local Thai embassy.

Have a great trip!
Steve
