Default Can anyone recommend a hotel in Chiang Mai?

Hello,
My last booking is for the hotel in Chiang Mai, so far flight tickets were the worst time consumming stressful activity, I got 3 one way tickets BKK to Chaing Mai, Chiang Mai to Phuket and Phuket to Bangkok for $250 and that's the cheapest I could get. I will be in Chiang Mai for 4 nights and can anyone suggest a hotel for about $50 to $70 a night that is decent? I was looking into Buri Gallery House and Hotel M Chiang May, I want a room with balcony and possibly good brakfast. Any suggestions?
Ahy suggestions for restaurants?
Thanks,
Sylvia

Have a look at the Centara Central Duangtawan Hotel. You can get a good room for around $50 anight, good breakfast included, reasonable pool and some rooms have balconies (from memory). We stayed a few nights and found it good. The big plus is the location, right in town and pretty much next to the night market area and heaps of eating places closeby at very reasonable prices.

Hi Sylvia,

Raming Lodge Boutique Hotel is very nice and should be in that price range. De Naga hotel is also great and Amora Tapae Hotel. All in very good locations close to the markets, central gate, etc.
