Default help please

Hello everyone!
Please can you help me...
I am arriving in Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport on Sunday 2nd Sept at 6:40am! I am looking at flights to Koh Samui that day... does anybody have any idea how long i should give myself to get from my flight (from Amsterdam) arrival gate to check into Bangkokair for the domestic flight. There are lots of flights that day, i dont know which to choose! I don't want to wait around the airport too long but also want to be rushing for my Samui flight!
Thank You for your help!!

Sorry I can't offer advice on the timing.
However, be aware that a lot of flights to Koh Samui on Bangkok Airways are on propeller planes ... they have introduced jet planes on that route since we were there last but they still use props.
If you are any way concerned about flying in a prop plane then choose the flight carefully. Have to say our early evening flight from Koh Samui was very very scary... we circled Bangkok 3 times before we landed in a storm and passengers were white faced when we got off, even my husband who normally loves flying was terrified (so he told me later)
Cheers Geri

Hi they do state on the web site which are props and which are jets. The travel agents allow 3 hours and I would say that this is right. The new airport is a big 'un and i think that it takes some time to get from international arrivals to the domestic bit. you also get free internet, drinks and nibbles in the departure at Bangkok. If we have arrived early we have be put on an earlier plane if available.
I did read somewhere that they would not accept booking for under 3 hours. so If it was me I would be looking at something past 9. You may also find that if you arrive too early that you can't get into your room so don't break your neck to get there.
oh i wish I was coming with you I would book all the flights, carry the luggage, polish your shoes......... well maybe pay some one to do it. Enjoy.
