Default Jbr And Weather Query I'm Afraid

Hi all - just returned from KS where we stayed yet again (5th year running) at the Fairhouse Beach Resort - what can I say - absolutely brilliant and the best by far beach on the island. We have always gone in August but next year flights are good (and much cheaper at the moment) in July - is the weather as good in KS then as in August - I expect it is but everyone seems to say different things about the rain.

This year - we left on 6/8 and returned on 23/8 - and we had 2 only half hour rain showers and 2 cloudy days - which were very welcome to me as a redhead!

Lots of new restauarants again in Chaweng - La Dolce Vita being one of the best - and don't be fooled into going to Noori Indian Restaurant which is in all of the best food books. The best curry you can get is in the Royal India Restaurant in a little backstreet off the main drag in Chaweng -bottom end to me but might be top end to some of you - near Legends Bar. Believe me - I know a good curry when I eat one. Highlight of the holiday again - eating wise - was the Charming Restaurant along the beach front of Chaweng Noi - fantastic fish and steaks - oh and quite good wine and reasonably priced. That's the only problem I have with Thailand - being a red wine drinker and nothing else alcoholic - is the price of wine.

This year a little like Little Italy rather than Little Germany but hey I don't go away to sit on the beach with loads of British people - I did have to set my alarm though to get the best sunbeds - if you can't beat them join them. I remember reading an article about a Welsh tour guide burning the sun beds of the German holiday makers - believe me it's no myth!

Grateful for an idea on the weather in July please. Thanks all.

Yes it should be more or less the same in July as August ...or maybe even marginally better. Depends on the weather!

Thanks for the report. August in Samui is known as Italian month.
Never been in July usually xmas new year and May oh and October, november, January.................
Those sunbed hoggers are a pain in the .... If they have their own towels they can just slip in the pool if not and they belong to the hotel then returned to the towel station. It is the ones who put out the tlowels and then don't return all day that reaally pee me off. That and oh don't get me started.
