Anyone know the name of it please? And also is it a smoking or non smoking airport?

What is the duty free prices like? ie, cigarettes and tobacco.

Changi International is it`s name. It was not long ago voted one of if not the best airport in one of those airline surveys might have been Skytrax.

From my experience there a couple of months back it was easy to see why.Everything is easily accessible & signage was good.

It`s a non smoking Airport but there are smoking rooms.

I didn`t venture into duty free so can`t help you there

what an airport should be (shame Singapore Airlines are not as good). Actually you can get some excellent duty free. I do not smoke but I know their cig prices are good. Electronics with international guarantees at prices below the shops outside, some good clothes shops and excellent watch shops. Very useful airport to fly into and out of; shame about the food.

Possibly the best airport to be stuck in for hours in transit in the world. There's a garden upstairs (with a bar) where you can smoke. There's also a swimming pool, cinemas, a spa, hairdresser etc in addition to the usual duty free shops and eateries.

And there is also free internet usage as well.... To me it is the best airport around to get stuck in or wait in transit.

I once had to travel with a broken seat back in Business and they refused to upgrade me to First Class, even though the broken seat contravened air safety regulations (they gave me a free voucher for something which I told them to……..). On another flight from Phuket using their subsidiary Silk Air (onward flight with Singapore) they refused to allow me (and another guy who was dressed in a suit, so my shorts were not the issue) to use the Singapore Airlines business lounge on the basis it was for people who arrived in on a Singapore Airlines flight! The general business class lounge at the airport is bloody awful. After that I stopped flying Singapore Airlines whenever I could and when I did use them I flew coach.
