Default Na Na Place Restaurant- Hua Hin

While the crowds queue for a table outside Moon Smile and Platoo Restaurant on Poolsuk Road in Hua Hin the eating establishments around it are only about one third full and sometimes not even that.

Sure the stir fries at Moon Smile are good and the curries not quite up to the mark and deserts "not available" when they are busy we decided to try Na Na Place which is on the same side of the road as Moonsmile.

This tiny little hole in the wall place can carry around 30 or so diners and then its certainly very full. It looked neat and clean when the four of us stepped inside for a quick lunch. The tablecloths and orchids on the table certainly lift the place and the service comes with a big smile.

The beer was cold and there is a range to choose from, the service friendly and not rushed. The prices are perhaps marginally cheaper than the more popular place next door but we are only talking an amount of perhaps 20 cents per dish so its not that important. What is important is the food. The menu has all the usual suspects and caters for the Thai food lover clientele.

We thought our food was very good. Its fresh and well plated and the serves are a fair size. We rated our dishes between 7.5 and 8 out of ten and we are hard markers. If you are looking for a nice leisurely lunch or dinner at a cheap price I don't think you will be disappointed. Most of the time there are plenty of tables available and really, the food is pretty much as good as Moonsmile and Platoo and you are not rushed through your meal to make space for someone else.

Thanks Wabbit. I have put that in my Thailand folder for next year. I'm going back to NZ on Sunday as my very good friend whose restaurant I ran for three months recently, has had a relapse and the restaurant is almost fully booked out for a month during the forthcoming Rugby World Cup. I think I will need a good holiday in Thailand after the Rugby World Cup - if I don't succumb myself to the stress!!
