Default Thailand Honeymoon in October

Hello everyone,
planning to go to Thailand from Aus for our honeymoon on the 16th october & have a couple of questions to ask.
( first time visit to Thailand )

we plan on staying on one of the quiter islands for 4 nights or so..

trying to choose between koh lanta and koh kood.
tending towards koh kood as it looks very quite & would be nice and relaxing but think lanta looks nice too.

which island of the 2 is likely to have the better weather during mid october ?
is the monsoon likely to be worse in either area during october ?
will this still be an enjoyable time to visit ?

koh kood resort looks nice, is this in a nice area of kood ?

cheers
B J

The rain is more likely down south...but it's really a hit or miss! Last October I was surfing in Phuket for a week and didn't see a cloud until last day while it rained in Bangkok and around Koh Kood. You just never know.

With that being said, Koh Lanta is one of my favorite islands in Thailand so I would always recommend it! It is much bigger than Koh Kood and has lots more to see and do. It also still has its' unique character.

October is still low season so there are some great hotel deals on Koh Lanta at that time as well!

Koh Lanta is also a favorite of ours, we were there at 5 different times last trip including October, there was a lot of rain but not torrential and October is very very quiet on Koh Lanta, perfect!
