Default Sorry for not posting for a while! But guess what!!!.....

Okay guys sorry for not being on here for a while! Tis sunday and sunny in eastbourne, havent been on here for a while so apologies!

Well my folks came round for a bbq last night and dropped in the conversation that they are off to Sri Lanka inFeb 2008, anyway cut a long story short, beer + sun + thinking we're not going to get away for 18months has culminated in Ian currently on phone to flight agents trying to get the best deal for a trip either pre or after easter 2008!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Decided yes australia we really wanna see, we've saved a couple of grand towards the garage roof , but as ian pointed out, A: we dont live in the garage, B: We only live once (ians dad is very ill at present hence the reality check!) C: Sod it! We always have a blast on holidays why not have something to look forward to!!!

Irresponsible probably, overtime will be needed etc etc

So anyway here our tentative itenarary! (spelling?)

EVA Air LHR to BKK (premium laurel, yes that the garage roof gone!), BKK to Taipei (really wanna see it!), back to BKK then probably 8-10 nights either Krabi or Koh Chang ( ideas please guys! , 4/5* shops and local stuff nearby) then back to BKK for a few nights at the Shangri-La (only cos we had a balcony last time, granted it was too hot to breathe but the people watching and river watching was better than any Pay Per View Channel!!!!) ................. so there we go..........yes i know NEVER AGAIN..blah blah..........................

oh am excited again!!!!!

cj & ian!

You can never say "never again" to Thailand!!

Life is too short not to enjoy it. Terry says why are we saving for retirement when he is semi-retired now and in any case something may happen that means we can't do long haul or be as mobile as we are now so b***** it, spend, spend, spend!!

We did Krabi last year and stayed at the Sheraton which is about 15/20 minutes from Ao Nang. The beach is brilliant but not a lot of local restaurants, although we found a really good one, to give you the variety unless you go into Ao Nang. I like to sit somewhere to eat, drink and people watch and you couldn't do that.

Ao Nang was good for shopping and eating but didn't seem to have any hotels with a beachfront and I like to stagger from room to beach. Not every day but I need the choice!

We stayed 7 days and it was too long.

I hate making decisons as to where to go as wherever you look someone raves about it and someone else doesn't!!!!!!!!!
