A very big time in our lives at the moment. We have decided to leave the middle east and come back to Australia.

We have been living in the middle east (Saudi/Qatar) 10 years and loved it. But it's time to move on. Plant those roots back in Australian terra firma.

Our plan is to do our Malaysia/Thailand holiday and head back to Aus from there.

We leave tomorrow. Will keep you posted while in Thailand. Heading to Pattaya this time for a month.

Well Denise, they always say there is no place like home !!!! But it is freezing at the moment so you had better take the long way back.....snowing in places that it has never snowed before!

He is an electrical engineer. Worked in a steel plant in Saudi and Oil and Gas here.

I have just said our goodbyes to a very special friend and feeling quite sad at the moment, that is the biggest bummer of being an expat ... too many goodbyes.

But on a brighter note it will be nice to be back with all the family.

Have to look ahead now.

The kids will love being nearer to the Grandparents.

Dave is a mechanical engineer.

The holiday will soften the blow a bit.
