Default Fingerprints on Entry to Thailand

Hi

Are foreign visitors fingerprinted on arrival in Thailand now?
Police to introduce fingerprint scanning at Suvarnabhumi | Suvarnabhumi Airport | New Bangkok Airport Guide
(as they are in the US and Japan.)

Thanks

Default been finger printed

Hi Jax here can't seem to log on.

We have not had that just the camera on the desk that you have to look into. Would not be a poblem to put finger on a machine that I presume checks your finger prints.

I had to meet a friend at the airport 2 nights ago and she did not have to get her prints recorded.
+
(Her flight was early, got a chance to take the new Airport Rail Link service for 15 baht to Makkasan. Got to the city just before midnight, meter taxi to Ibis Hotel Sukhumit Road, Soi 4, for 53 baht.)

OK

Yep, we were there from May-June-July. Just the retina photo on arrival and departure.

I flew Hong Kong to Suvarnabhumi Bangkok on 8 July this year and had nothing. No fingerprints or retina scan.
