Default River kwai and floating markets

We have one full day in Bangkok where we would like to go to the above. Would you believe we have never done it in all the times we have been.
Can you do both in one day? If so how long are you talking. the will be 3 of us so will want taxi or similar. Anyone know an approx price.
We have a full day the day after but we set off home at about 4 in the morning so don't want this to be full of running around. Just do mBK etc.
Is the floating market worth going to?

I am still looking for suggestions for a good night market in Bangkok, anyone?

2 weeks 5 days.

Default Floating market

is well worth it IF you go VERY early and by private car (the minibuses all stop at places where they make commission). If you get there before the hoards it is really good.
