Default Combining Thailand with China

I go every year to Thailand, departing from Nice or Marseille.

As there is the international exposition in Shanghai, I would combine this with about 10 days China. About 4 days in Shanghai, Maybe 3 or 4 days in Peking, and 2-3 days something not to be missed.

Any suggestion how to organize this is welcome! Besides what to do and see, there is the flight-problem. It is even cheaper to flight directly to Shanghai then a flight to Bkk! But except Thai Air I do not see any company that has a stopover in Bkk. And then Thai air the price is double then a flight to Bkk with another company. I think I am obliged to take a flight to Bangkok and find a flight to Shanghai, then one to Peking and back to Bkk. But that is all so much more expensive!

So if some people can help out......
