HI and thanks for your good wishes.

We have been to Malaysia a few times before, however this will be our first time to Langkawi. We booked a package online through Air Asia. We will be staying at Muturia Burua Bay Resort (sp?) for 5 nights.

In Pattaya we booked a privately owned apartment online (owned by an Aussie expat). I have his email details if anyone is interested, you can check the apartment out at;

Holiday Lettings - Photos for Apartment rental in Pattaya, Central Thailand

It's located between soi 8 and 9 on the beachfront road. A nice lowrise building, the apartment looks of a high standard.

It's costing us 1000 pounds for the month for all of us (6)

I really enjoyed Pattaya when we stayed there before. This time both sets of our grandparents will be joining us (different times during the month with a 3 day crossover ... which is when it's my son's 14th birthday. For this night we have booked the Hard Rock Hotel, which looks a lot of fun.

Only 17 more sleeps to go!!!!

Well it is going to be my first time in Hua hin too, late november-December.

I have booked a guesthouse out of town, that was recommended by a local. It is in fact in a garden, a big bungalow with private garden and seperate bedroom. And a butler, that brings breakfast on you terace!

There is no real swimmingpool, but a prive smaller pool, guess just enough to lay down in. It looks good.

If Marc gives me authorisation, I will post a link!

I spent a few days in Hua Hin last month and loved it. We hired a driver to take us from BKK and it was a great road, 100kmh the whole way. It took around 2 1/2 hours but didn't seem so long.

Hua Hin was such a refreshing change from Bangkok. It was great to be out in the fresh air and near the beach.

We splurged and stayed at Sofitel Central and it was well worth the money, truly a delight. It was great being right in the centre of Hua Hin, after having to catch trains, taxi's etc everywhere in BKK I enjoyed just walking out of the hotel and being amongst everything.
