Default 6 days in Thailand

My son & I are landing in Bangkok on the 24th of March. We'll be leaving for Bali on March 30th.Can anybody suggest an itinerary for us. A list of things we can both enjoy. Surfing, climbing, snorkeling, hiking, biking, kayaking, good food, spas, hanging out and meeting people.
I also have a interest in learning from the culture and the Buddhist way.
All suggestions are welcome. I'm hoping to come back for 10 more days in mid April. Thanks, Ron

you are squeezing in a lot in 6 days, if leaving from bkk, actually 4 days, and 2 for travel. if flight not set, i would go to phuket, kata beach has some surfing, climbing would be possibly krabi, actually couple hours away, on the way, phangna bar for kayaking, though a bit weak. hiking and biking is easy anywhere, snorkeling, maybe, but probably an all day affair, and also a bit weak. as said, if flight not set, should be able to get something out of phuket.

culture and buddhism, wait till next trip. good luck. if flight out of bkk to bali, maybe a trip to kanchanaburi, though no beach activity, though the rest might work.

thats a hell of a lot even for the two visits - if you are arriving in Bangkok I suggest you stay at the mandarin hotel on Rama IV - go to the travel agent across the road and book a driver for 3 days and go to Kanchanaburi where you can do all the stuff you want apart from the things involving the sea - book your own hotel in Kanchanaburi the driver will sort himself out - he should cost about 1000 baht per day + fuel costs ---- if going to Phuket you can do all the stuff you asked but not in the time period and Phuket is a lot more expensive - we need more info on your trip to give specific advice - LA is correct though the "learning from the culture and the Buddhist way" will take a while been there for almost 12 months in 2/3/4 weeks periods and I am only just getting used / learned / into it now

We (adults 50's world trvelers fromUS) went to Thailand once 2 yrs ago--BKK is doable in a few days. We lvoed even one full day in Kanchanaburi (once we found out how to pronounce it, we'll be back!!)
Hua Hin was the most beachy location we'd chose to visit--it's just not an attraction to us, like Phuket, islands etc are to Aussies. our objective was travel not vacation, so it may not apply to you??next trip--repeat Kanchanaburi and much farther north for more culture/history.
