Default Koh Samui Hostels in Early May 2010

Hi, im looking to go around the islands of Koh Samui etc then onto krabi/ koh phi phi and was wondering would it be best to book before hand or will it be cheaper to book on arrival?

Ive heard that Koh Samui gets full quickly but also ive heard that you can haggle a better deal on arrival?

Also if anyone has any tips on hostels on the islands, looking around £10-20 ppn. Theres a few of us going so its not completely essential to have a buzzing atmoshere.

Cheers

Hi Ian,

to the forum.

There is heaps of accomodation on Samui and at that time of year it is not necessary to book in advance. But, as it is a slow time, you may find some great deals on the main booking sites who will be trying to fill rooms.

In you budget, I would recommend this place....Samui Beach Apartments, Koh Samui hotels | Sawadee.com, Thailand

Great central location and access to all the facilities of Seascape resort, next door. Good sized rooms, clean and comfortable.

Koh Samui I dont know but as already said you can get great deals that time of year and if you are going to Krabi try seaching google for the peace laguna resort - great place and we got buy one get one free nights at that time which would make it close to your budget if you get BOGOF - also in Krabi but not as good - Krabi Success Beach Resort - which is very cheap when booked on the net - although the first one is better positioned and a lot better hotel

Thanks for the tips and advice!

I think were goin to try and book on arrival, see if we can haggle a decent price. We'll be there for the half moon party on Koh Phagnan so think we may book before we leave, ive heard it gets pretty busy.

oh and Phil, ill swap you my flight ticket for the last champions league spot?! lol

The chumps lge is ours to give away - BUT we have spuds and villians to contend with - think the pool are out of it after the wigan fiasco - would you not agree ? - anyway the lge goes to who ? the rags = me thinks not ( also I hope not ) chelski could be - but the best BET is the ar@e as they have the easiest run in - BUT WE ARE still there although I do not think we will win it - when you look at who has to play whom - I think the pool will finish 6/7th the rags will do 3rd maybe arse will win it or chelski - but we still have an outside chance we just need a n other than mancini - watch us go next season
