Songkran 2010 - Chiang Mai, best day for water festival

Sorry, but I'm a bit confused with all the Songkran postings. Can someone tell me what the best day to experience the water parade? I know that Songkran is April 13 - 15, but need to know what day is the gotta be there day. Thanks.

All those days are good days. However, some places celebrate longer than others. Chiang Mai goes strong for 5 days, Bangkok for about 3, and Phuket for only 1 day.

I think that the first day is usually the best but as the other reply says it does go on for a good few days.
I think that people usually get tired of it after a few days so the first day most people are genuinely excited about it. :)
