Default good quality leather shoes men

I am travelling to Bangkok in a week, from US. But I need a good pair of shoes for travel. I was wondering would it be cheaper to find a good pair of leather comfortable shoes in Bangkok rather than buying in the US (200-300$ range in the US)?
Thank you in advance.

Dave bought some from the MBK centre but they were more dress shoes. there are loads of stuff around and I am sure that you can get a pair for a lot less than that you could even in the U.K.

It depends on your shoe size. Both my husband and I struggle to buy shoes in Asia as we are a lot taller (and bigger) than the average Asian.

Cheers Geri

International makes will be roughly the same price as back home; as Geri suggests, local makes might not have as much selection for larger shoe sizes. As Jax mentions, MBK, Siam Square and surrounds is a good place to do the rounds.
