Question sailg boat in august

Does anybody can give me any advice about sailig boat crues around similan islands in august?Is it safe to sail at that time?what is the best company for 4-5 days to go around ?

Its low season then and weather conditions can be pretty bad, sounds like most boat tours there shut down during this time. Have a read of the link below.

August can be a very wet month on the Andaman Sea side of Thailand and the sea can be very rough, but prices are low so if the budget is tight and you dont mind some rain it can still be pleasant.

I would much rather the Gulf Islands at this time of year...Samui/Phangan/Tao. It is much busier and you will pay higher rates but the weather is reliable, seas are flat and everything is open and operating.

Question sailing in august

Thank you Shanek for your reply,i will consider your advice,but still.. even if the wheter is not nice in august i like to go for sailing few days,so your advice is to go around Koh Tao.....what about Similan Island?Is it far from Phuket?Is better to go around Krabi?

Why not try Koh Samet Island. Not busy that time of year, room prices are low
and its a great island. Furthermore Koh Samet Island for some reason doesnt get that much rain. My friend has a sailing boat he takes on charter trips. He is based on Koh Lanta maybe u could email him about sailing boat cruises. His email is steve.bateman@infinito.it
