Default The Grand Hotel , Hua Hin

Happy New Year to all .
Need an update on the local market in front of the Grand Hotel , Hua Hin .
Is it still operating through Wednesday - Sunday ?
Reason for asking is that some friends just back in UK , 5 weeks ago , say it wasnt operating when they went down there on a Thursday , saying that they are not the best for wandering , didnt even notice the hospital next door , the Big green cross can be seen for quite a distance , makes me think they were in wrong place , brilliant people but get them away from beach , LOST !!!!!.
For anybody not in the know this market has a few stalls selling bric a brac , bargain hard and get some brilliant ethnic , not tourist tat , goods .
Bought 11 items on last visit , wife kept 3 items , sold rest and made over £125.00 profit back in UK . Will pay for my Chang Beer in 3 weeks time .

Hi Al,
That sounds like a good business model If you don't mind me asking, where do you flog the items when you get back to Blighty? Through ebay/gumtree/craigslist etc, or do you go to specialist shops/dealers?

I've often thought about doing a similar thing but the problem is I just don't have an eye for the good stuff.

Hi Steve , it depends on what I buy where I sell it .
In the " Grand" market there is a couple of stalls that sell old silver coins and trinkets from Burma and other Asian countries , not so much now that silver is on a high a lot I suspect is melted down .
Also my wife is into and has a good eye for old costume jewelry what she doesnt keep she is able to sell on or easily on ebay .
We have bought many items there over the years and have always made a profit a couple of times only a few pounds but once or twice over a £100 .
