Hi Patrick,
to the forum.

You are best to book in advance if you want to take advantage of promotional fares as long as your travel dates are firm and you are relatively sure that you wont be making any changes.

We normally fly Air Asia but they do dont fly direct to Manila. You may want to try Cebu Pacific.

Hi if you still have time see your travel agent for pricing of a RTW fare , round the world , these fares are very , very good value , especially if you use same or partner airline , only stipulation is that you have to travel in same direction at all times , ie west-east or east -west . From the US this can mean flying east , via wherever , to Bangkok then east again to Manila/Cebu then homeward bound to US ,or in reverse . Fare depends on how many stops you want to make .
Only problem may be from Manila-Cebu may not be part of any airline partner program , not too much hassle just means buying a seperate ticket for this leg , sure this can be done online or through your agent .
Have an enjoyable trip and Happy New Year .
