Hello, well I did some research into dentistry in Phuket, the internet provided many case scenario's from Australians, and the people that had dental work done were more than happy with the work and quality, so I ended up having 2 x rebuilds 1 x small filling and 1 x large cavity all for aud $360. so I was more than happy, however, I have heard the teeth whitening that is widely promoted can be painful and leave ur mouth feeling fragile and very sensitive for quite a while. I initially e-mailed the surgery and booked the appointment from OZ and used the Promjai Dental Clinic, Patong Beach Merlin Hotel surgery as it was handy. Also I have since discovered the Patong Hospital has an excellent dentistry unit.

I did see a lot of bill boards in Phuket advertising cheap dental treatments and it seems lot of foreigners opt for it. We also have horders of people coming to India for medical and surgical treatments.

Heard of plenty success stories involving Medical Tourism in Thailand, but not any Dental Tourism. Doesn't mean it's not out there and working. As someone else mentioned here, there are billboards espousing these services, and I have to believe that most folks are okay so long as they don't need an Oral Surgeon and just basic dentistry.

Take a look at MedAsia for more resources. Plastic/Cosmetic surgery/Dental Implent/Wellness/Medical Treatments through MedAsia: Medical Tourism Bangkok, Phuket, Thailand.

Good luck with your teef!

I find that the dental work in Thailand is of a superior quality to that of NHS treatment in the UK but can be expensive in places - if you are in Patong you could do worse than check out the Bangkok Phuket Hospital in phuket town which will not be cheap but you will not be better looked after - for a good dentist not far from there - sorry cant remember the name - but basically as you look at the hospital from across the road take the road to left of the hospital and follow it round left hand bend for about 2/3 km and the clinic is on the right had bridge done there very good
