Default Ayutthaya, Kanchanaburi and Bangkok

Hello everyone,

I'm a newbie here. :) Am travelling to Thailand in early August, and plan to visit Ayutthaya, Kanchanaburi and Bangkok in 6D 5N. My initial plan is 2D2N at Ayutthaya, 1D1N at Kanchanaburi and 3D2N in Bangkok.

Anyone has any idea how I should go about this trip?

Many thanks in advance :)

Red face Wow

I do not think you will have much time to enjoy Kanchanaburi. Seems a lot of miles for such a short time to me. I tried the same thing once and failed terribly as I could not tear myself away from certain places. Maybe miss Kanchanaburi out?

I agree with Mark. There is heaps to do there or near there: Tiger Temple, Erawan Falls, River Kwai Bridge, War Cemetary, The Death Railway, Hellfire Pass and Museums devoted to the war. So unless you are planning on doing some of these things and going back another time, I think that you will regret that you did not spend at least another day /night there.

Yes I think you would need at least 3 d2n(I was there for 4D3N) at Kanchanaburi to see many sights.(Good times travel is a good agency.) It is a good peacefull getaway from busy bangkok. I stayed at the peaceful and scenic resotel on the river kwai and absolutely loved the peace and the nature around. I enjoyed siting outside in the mornings enjoying the cool mountain air. If you want some peace and quiet from bangkok this is the place to go.

My lodgings at the resotel and the perfect place to just rest and relax in the coolness of mountain and river
