If your chargers are rated for 220 volts, you won't have any problems. Most now are rated 110-240 volts. If yours isn't, I'd get a new one that is.

You will need an adapter that either has two flat pins or two round pins to plug your electrical items into. Be careful when plugging in 3 plug things into it, as Thailand does not have an earth and you can get a bit of a shock if you plug the bottom pin in by mistake.

I thought this was a handy tip. I was told to take a power board over there so that you could charge more than one thing at a time instead of having heaps of adapters.

you can buy the adaptors either at 7-11 or similar in Phuket they are very cheap (2 dollars) or get one before you go at Dick Smiths or similar, just plug your 3 pins in and the adaptor will go to 2 pins, very hard to plug the earth into the wrong place.

Were you drinking Bintang David? Durian and alcohol don't mix (which is why I'm not too keen on Durian)

Hi david
I got a multi adptor at Harvey Normans--it works in Thailand and Bali.It has different pins on it --the ones you are not using fold back into the casing. The brand name is BELKIN.
