hi departing today ex sydney the heavans have opened and not looking like they will close for some time.
heavy rain and wind great start to hols nervous enough without that.
looking forward to thailand first stop pattaya mixed feelings about that decision then bangkok and chaing mai will try to keep travel diary to post on return.

Oh don't worry about Pattaya. So it's not exactly the cultural centre of Thailand still alot of fun things to do (just as long as it's not to much fun ).

At least your forwarned the first time I went to Thailand (Pre internet days) the young travel agent sent me to Pattaya and I had no idea of it's reputation in those days. Now that was a eye opener!
