Default H1N1 Flu

Heading back to Thailand later this month. How bad is the H1Ni flu outbreak? Can you purchase Tamiflu at the drug stores?

Also, is the Airport Sky Train operational yet?

Thanks, Andy

Just recovering from the Swine flu in Australia!

This is the worst flu I have ever had and now understand how people can die from it.

Tami flu only works if you take it in the first 48 hours,I picked up the flu in Bali and when you first get it it can just feel like being out of salts a bit, this can be put down to hotter weather than used too, different food and too much alcohol etc.

So if you dont recognize the signs of flu straight away then tamiflu is useless.

Panadol every 4 hours to keep down the fever, and give up smoking before you get it!

If i was on holiday in Thailand and got this flu I would have had to check myself into Hospital, its that bad!

On the other hand some have just had a slight sore throat from it?

Stay away from people sneezing and coughing which is hard to do on a plane! Even the air crew were coughing on my flights!

Thanks Den, sorry to hear about your illness. I was sick in India last November. So, I can agree about wanting to be close to home when illness strikes.

Oh Den sorry to hear that you have been ill. Hope that you are feeling better now.

It could have been the plane that you picked it up on as they are notorious for spreading all diseases.

I had pnumonia in samui a couple of years ago and that was no picnic although the hospital was good.

Thanks for the concern :) but am now fully recovered albeit almost a month!

I watched a show on planes a while ago and modern jet air conditioners are over filtered and fresh air has to be warmed from the freezing temperature as it is sucked in from outside ?

Expert said illnesses are contracted before flying and in departure lounges!

I still don't believe it as I nearly always get a head cold after flying!
